Everything You Need To Know About Dropping With Rarible

At Rarible, we do our best to support our community every day. Our Drops Launchpad is just one of the ways we do this. When partnering with creative projects, we do everything we can to bring your vision to life, and share it with the world.

Of course, you can always create NFT collections from your Rarible account without our help, but if you have a special project that you think deserves some TLC, why not reach out and see if we can work together? Unfortunately, we can’t work with every artist or project that comes our way, but if our values and vibes are aligned, then we’ll see what we can do. You can share your project with us via this form (more on that below).

In this article we’re going to walk you through the entire process of partnering with us for your drop. We’ll cover everything, from what chains we offer, to the technical stuff, to how to get in touch with us. Roll up your sleeves and strap in: this is going to be hella-detailed!

Rarible is a multichain marketplace

In case you haven’t heard, the future is multichain. Which means we’re adding new chains to Rarible all the time. The chains that you can currently drop on are (take a deep breath):

  • ETH
  • Base
  • Ordinals
  • Kroma
  • Lisk
  • Astar
  • Polygon
  • Etherlink
  • Moonbeam
  • Aptos
  • RARI Chain

In terms of choosing which chain is best for your project - that depends on where your community is at, and/or what you’re hoping to achieve. For example, if your NFT is aimed at a gaming community, you might look at Kroma or Etherlink. If you’re all about art, maybe it’s Ethereum or Ordinals. If fun and memes are your vibes, you might hop over to Base. See where your peers and your fans are hanging out, and think about what your project needs - there’s a chain that’s perfect for you, you just need to find it.

What kind of collections can I drop?

They say variety is the spice of life…and variety is what we give you when it comes to the types of collections you can create on Rarible.com. Let’s take a look:

Open edition

An open edition NFT collection allows for an unlimited number of NFTs within a specific time frame. These are a great way to get your project out there, and the limited time frame creates a sense of excitement and hype. The team at Lisk teamed up with artist Yahya Rifandaru and launched this awesome OE to mark their chain’s arrival on Rarible.com.

Multi-edition

A multi-edition collection allows you to have multiple different NFTs, available to mint infinitely (within reason!). Let’s say you have a series of artworks — they’re all part of the same collection, and you would like them to have multiple copies of each available to mint: the multi-edition is the collection for you.

Limited edition

This is for those real special drops. Works that require some rarity, some (dare we say?) mystique. Limited edition runs can be as small as 1 single NFT, or 50, or as many as you like (though of course, the more you make, the less rare they are - duh).

PFP

If you’ve got the next hottest PFP project sitting on your hard-drive (or stewing in your brain), we want to know about it. Whether it's 2,000 or 10,000, we can launch your PFP and connect you with your audience. Sneaky’s p00nks project sold all 2,000 characters, creating another happy PFP community.

We take care of the technical stuff

Once you’ve decided which chain, and what kind of collection you want to drop, we take care of everything else. Currently, we support ERC 721s on Rarible.com, and we plan to expand our capabilities to other token standards soon, so watch this space! We will launch the contract for you and take care of all the technical details.

Not only that, but we will always do our best to help you with any technical issues you’re having with the work itself. We’ve helped artists create JSONS, work out drop mechanics, and set up unique minting phases such as allowlists and more. If you have a vision in mind but you’re not quite sure how to execute, reach out to us and let’s see what we can create together.

Creating your custom mint page

Once you’ve given us all your information and we’re aligned on dates and drop details, we’ll build you a custom mint page. This will be featured on our landing page and our drops page.

This custom mint page will have:

  • The artwork
  • Artwork or project description
  • Artist or project biography
  • Links to your socials

Our mint pages are pretty nice stunning if you ask us, and they are a great way to curate your drop and showcase who you are, right there on the Rarible homepage. Check out Amber Vittoria’s and Andre Oshea’s custom mint pages for inspiration.
