Restoring the Eclipse Creator Fund: Choosing the Right Path

During the launch of Scope, the new NFT marketplace powered by RaribleX on Eclipse, the inaugural Open Edition "Path of Discovery" by artist @niooo_nio had a misconfiguration on its mint fee.

Set to $0.20 instead of $2, it resulted in a shortfall of $40K for the Eclipse Creator Fund, which aims to bootstrap its NFT ecosystem by supporting creators.

We’re choosing the right path. Here’s how

  1. Rarible is covering the entire $40K that was meant to go to the Eclipse Creator Fund. This ensures artists get paid fairly, and the Eclipse ecosystem can grow as it should have without this issue.
  2. The fee issue is fixed, and we've improved our processes to prevent this from happening again. Each mint will result in a $2 fee that goes directly to the Eclipse Creators Fund, allowing the NFT art space to have great drops from great artists in this exciting environment.

We're proud of our partnership with Eclipse and committed to fostering a space where artists and creators can thrive.
