Shaun Keenan & time’s Face Invader on Rarible

A collaborative collection of colorful creatures from another Universe

Shaun Keenan & time’s Face Invader on Rarible

When a surreal collage artist from the UK and a baroque-loving painter from Uruguay start collaborating, strange and wonderful things happen: 'Face Invader' is a sprawling collection of characters from another solar system, landing on Rarible, June 6th.

This collaboration between Shaun Keenan and Santiago (aka time) introduces a world of vibrant colour and texture, filled with expressive characters who feel like they’ve kind of lost their way. Moving through the collection is like wandering through the weirdest house party you’ve ever been to (in a good way). Think cosmic luchadores, interplanetary mask parties, and glitched-out childhood memories – rendered in riotous color and texture.

Shaun and Santiago live on opposite sides of the Atlantic, but their work shares a distinct worldview: analog roots, and a hearty embrace of digital tools. We caught up with them to talk about 'Face Invader', inspiration, music, and what kind of art universe they’d never want to live in

Tell us about this collection and how it came about?

“The collection is about colors and textures first and then it becomes about the characters and then it becomes about the world where they are possible. It's a melding of styles combined to make something new that we both love. It was a natural collaboration because we have both been sharing work with each other and sharing our thoughts on art and the world and life in general”.
